🌼 What I’m Loving Lately: June Favorites

Stack of books with "LITERATURE" and "BOOKS" on spines, beside an orange mug with a plant. Set against a window-pane background.

June is one of those months that feels like a fresh start and a long exhale. School’s out, the days are longer, and everything slows down just enough to notice the small things.

Here’s a little list of what’s been bringing me joy lately—books, snacks, sounds, and tiny moments that feel like sunshine. Maybe you’ll find something here that lights you up, too.

June Favorites

📚 Book I’m Obsessed With

Green flowers in a glass vase on a wooden table with burlap, purple yarn, an open book, and a glass of water. Bright, minimal setting.

Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter

This rom-com is pure serotonin. Banter, childhood crushes, 90s movie references—it’s just the right mix of sweet and snarky. I smiled the entire time.

📖 Shelf Care Vibe: comfort + chaos + cute boys with emotional depth

☕ Drink of the Month

A tall glass of iced coffee with a metal straw on a navy table, set against a light purple background, creating a summery vibe.

Iced lavender oat milk latte

Delicate, floral, and not too sweet—like drinking a Pinterest board. I make mine at home with lavender syrup and oat milk over ice. 10/10 would recommend it on a slow morning.

✍️ Quote That Hit Me

Child writing in a notebook with a pen topped with a clear, colorful decoration. A blue marker lies nearby on a wooden surface.

“You are not required to set yourself on fire to keep others warm.”

 — Unknown

I wrote it on a sticky note and stuck it to my mirror, a reminder that boundaries also mean kindness. This quote resonated with me because it's a gentle reminder that I don't have to sacrifice my own well-being to help others.

🎧 Song on Repeat

Black headphones with "Marshall" text rest on a plaid blanket with red, white, and gray stripes. Cozy and relaxed mood.

“Softly” by Clairo

It’s mellow, dreamy, and vibe enough to soundtrack a journaling session or a long walk with headphones in.

Pair it with a golden-hour playlist and an open window.

🧴 Self-Care Find

Beauty spa items: clay, coconut oil, Himalayan salt, essential oils. Surrounded by orange flowers on white. Relaxing, natural mood.

Sunscreen stick

I finally found one that doesn’t feel sticky and now use it. It took a lot of trial and error, but this sunscreen stick fits in my bag, smells like coconut, and makes me feel like a Responsible Adult™ every time I reapply.

🛍️ Tiny Joy I Bought

Illustration of an open book with decorative patterns and a floral bookmark. Text and colorful designs fill the pages. Green cover edges.

Floral washi tape

I didn't need more, but I’m a stationery girl. I've used it in my journal to section off quotes, memories, and June moodboards.

🌸 Moment I Keep Replaying

Raindrops on a window blur a cityscape of tall, white buildings. The scene is gray and moody with a soft, rainy ambiance.

Sitting on the porch during a summer storm—barefoot, book in hand, just listening. No phone, no to-do list, just the sound of rain and the smell of earth. It felt like a reset, a moment of pure tranquility and a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

🌿 What About You?

Read well, be well. 💛

I really enjoyed your June favorites and how you explained each product with honest thoughts and real little moments that made you love them. It made me think about a week I was so tired from studying that I needed a real estate exam taker for hire to get through one long afternoon of review. Reading your list made me smile and remember that simple joys help me keep going.
